The opening of Six Senses New York in 2022 means time-poor, cash-rich travellers can now combine a US city break to the vibrant ‘City That Never Sleeps’ with high-tech and luxury wellness

Six Senses New York

Six Senses New York is the group’s first North American property and is a key element of The XI - two unique, twisting towers designed by world-famous architect Bjarke Ingels in a stunning location in between Manhattan’s Hudson River and The High Line. Rooms and suites have been designed by Parisian firm Gilles & Boissier and are contemporary in style featuring every modern convenience in a soft palette of natural fabrics and furnishings. Two restaurants are set to showcase the brand’s popular culinary approach to health and wellbeing by serving fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced produce. Six Senses Spa focuses on a layered approach to wellness with treatments that are a holistic mix where a high-tech and high-touch approach is tailored around the individual.

Six Senses New York

Six Senses New York, the group’s first North American property, is now set to open in 2022. The development project by HFZ Capital Group is located on 10th Avenue, taking up the entire block between 17th and 18th Streets in the heart of New York’s buzzing and arty Chelsea neighbourhood. The project, named The Eleventh (The XI), features two soaring towers taking their inspiration from New York City's classic modernist structures and cultural institutions, while also playfully skewing the traditional skyscraper form with their rotating appearance. The towers are taller than surrounding buildings and create far-reaching views of the High Line, Hudson River and Downtown and Midtown skylines. Six Senses New York will be located in the east tower directly adjacent to the High Line with ten floors and 137 rooms and suites. It will be downtown Manhattan West Side’s first five-star hotel, forming part of a mixed-use development which will also be home to approximately 240 condominium homes and luxury retail shopping. Guests will also have access to the Six Senses Spa which will offer a range of bespoke, high tech and high-touch treatments and programmes.
