Kalesma, is a brand new, boutique lifestyle hotel designed in the style of a traditional Mykonian village. Set on the hillside overlooking Ornos Bay, this newcomer is just a short walk from the beach and short drive from Mykonos town. Uniquely positioned and designed, Kalesma is the only hotel on Mykonos where all of the 25 family-friendly suites and two villas boast a heated private pool, terrace and direct views across the Aegean Sea. These views can be enjoyed at sunrise and sunset from the restaurant Pere Ubu which serves elegant Greek dishes and Aloni, the sunset lounge where you can watch the sun gently slip down behind the horizon. The minimal design and understated luxury have been crafted by Greek design company K-Studio who have combined traditional and Cycladic architectural elements such as white-washed walls with a neutral colour palette against pops of pink from Bougainvillea.
Interiors are by Vangelis Bonios, who is behind Kalesma’s sister restaurants Pere, Ubu and Sea Spice in Athens. Bonios’ style is sophisticated with the focus on comfort and attention to detail and the concierge continues with this philosophy arranging access to hidden corners, undiscovered beaches and hottest beach clubs and restaurants.
