When you can, this would be the perfect bolthole, what’s not to love about the branch-hung tree rooms at Treehotel in the heart of Swedish Lapland? Close to nature, Treehotel is a place where nature and your imagination run wild. Take time out, leave the stress behind and head to the pine forest to watch the Northern Lights, go berry picking or simply relax in nature. The Cabin, designed by Mårten and Gustav Cyrén, is one of the most romantic rooms overlooking the Lule River Valley.
Treehotel is located in a tall pine forest with spectacular views of the Lule River. The tree rooms are suspended 4-10 metres above the ground and are either accessible by ramp, bridge, or electric stairs. You check-in at The Guesthouse and then it’s just a 5-minute walk to Treehotel. Rustic, Nordic cuisine is served in the Treehotel Guesthouse restaurant.
All of the Treehotel tree dens have an incinerating loo, electricity, underfloor heating as well as air-conditioning, coffee maker and water kettle, drinking water, fridges, WiFi and a sustainable Rukkamoika water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands. NB: Dragonfly and The 7th Room are the only rooms which have their own showers.
Experience The Northern Lights from Treehotel, gaze out at Sweden's spectacular nature from the Mirrorcube. Children love treks through the lush forests, nearby fishing and the husky-drawn sled rides, and of course the chance to admire the Northern Lights.
If you’re a design and nature lover and eco-warrior you’ll love Treehotel, if, on the other hand you want to stay in the lap (excuse the pun) of luxury when you’re away then Treehotel probably isn’t your cup of tea.
