Three Graces Spa at Grantley Hall
2019 saw the opening of Relais & Chateaux property Grantley Hall after four years of restoration overseen by the Yorkshire-based Sykes family, restoring a nearly derelict 17th-century mansion back to its former glory, recapturing the elegant grandeur and opulence of its heyday, along with the addition of several new buildings to allow for restaurants, bars and luxury spa. In fact, Grantley Hall boasts four exceptional restaurants offering fine dining from Michelin starred Chef Shaun Rankin, tempting Pan-Asian cuisine in Restaurant EightyEight, and three sophisticated bars including a glamorous late-night Champagne and cocktail bar.
Grantley Hall, now a luxury 47-room hotel, sits on the banks of the River Skell in Ripon, close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey. Once a private country house this 17th-century building has been restored to its former glory and is now one of the best luxury hotels in the UK. Each of the 47 rooms and suites has been designed with the building’s rich heritage in mind and can be found in either the original Old Hall or the newly built Fountains Wing. Many famous artists, including LS Lowry, have immortalised the beauty of Grantley Hall.
