THE NEWT IN SOMERSET TO OPEN ITS LATEST ROOM OFFERING, THE FARMYARD IN SPRING / SUMMER 2021
Opening in Summer 2021, The Farmyard will complement existing rooms and suites at luxury hotel and estate The Newt in Somerset. Nestled in a hidden corner of the estate and accessed through traditional cider orchards, The self-contained Farmyard will have 17 bedrooms and suites. These stylish rooms are housed within historic buildings of the dairy farm such as a Farm House, Cider Mill, Apple Loft and Cheese Barns.
Owner Karen Roos, the former editor of Elle Decoration South Africa, has added accents of modern luxury to rustic buildings made of Hadspen limestone the colour of burnt orange, aged oak beams and blue lias flagstones.
The Farmyard includes an indoor swimming pool, bar and games room and an authentic farm-to-table foodie experience. Along with full access to the entire estate – including the restaurant, spa, gardens, Cider Cellar and The Story of Gardening experience centre.
