The Place Firenze is a luxury boutique hotel in Florence. It sits on Piazza Santa Maria Novella just a 5-minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station.
Claudio Meli, GM started his journey at The Place Firenze as Head Concierge in 2003 and his knowledge of his beloved Florence is second to none. The reinvention of JK Place Firenze has been put in the hands of Architect Luigi Fragola. The communal areas have undergone a restyling and update representing the new story of The Place Firenze which will be bringing together all areas of city life, supporting the different areas of the city, their activities, the food, the artisans, artists through various projects.
The new brand takes its inspiration from the 15th-century Architect, writer and philosopher Leon Battista Alberti who identified three simple principles that every building should exhibit: solidity, utility and beauty. Examples of his 360-degree approach to work are right on The Place Firenze’s doorstep in the façade of Santa Maria Novella and the Rucellai Sculpture.
